Survey: CIOs less confident on early meaningful use targets
from Modern Healthcare
The challenges of meeting federal meaningful use targets continue to sink in for hospital chief information officers, according to the latest quarterly survey of CIOs by the College of Health Information Management Executives. Results from the most recent survey, conducted in March, show that 7.5 percent of 200 CHIME members queried expected to meet meaningful use requirements and qualify for federal electronic health record system subsidy payments. That's down from 15 percent for that metric in the November 2010 survey and from 28 percent in the survey last August.
