Michigan church hopes to feed thousands with community garden
from The Christian Post
In addition to providing food for the soul, NorthRidge church in Plymouth, Mich., is staving off the physical hunger of those facing hard times. More than 300 volunteers are tending the church's garden in hopes of delivering more than 15,000 pounds of vegetables to area food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the summer and fall. Senior Pastor Brad Powell says the community garden is part of the church's effort to help people at their point of need and touch their lives in a tangible way.
