First US CIO Vivek Kundra will move to academia
from CIO Today
The first federal CIO is leaving his job. The White House announced that Vivek Kundra will step down in mid-August to become a joint fellow at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. The announcement was made by White House budget director Jacob Lew, who promised a "smooth transition." No successor has been announced, and there is no indication that the departure is contentious.
