US, Mexico to open border to Mexican long-haul trucking
from The San Diego Union-Tribune
The United States and Mexico signed an agreement today ending a long-simmering dispute over the ability of Mexico based trucks to operate freely in the U.S. With certain restrictions and guidelines in place, the U.S. will allow Mexican long-haul trucks to make deliveries across the United States. In return, Mexico will lift its retaliatory tariffs on more than $2 billion in U.S. manufactured goods and agricultural products.
