Toenail fungus drug moves forward on new analysis
from San Diego Union-Tribune
A new analysis of old clinical trial data showed that Apricus Biosciences' experimental drug MycoVa cured toenail fungus in 20 percent of patients with mild and moderate forms of the infection, the San Diego company said recently. The analysis excluded test subjects who also had suffered from athlete's foot, which increased the overall risk of fungal reinfection and contributed to disappointing results in the original studies.
