Is shockwave the latest treatment option for patients with chronic heel pain?
Extracorporeal Shockwave lithotripsy, or simply called shockwave, is a procedure whose medical value is disputed. A number of both favorable and unfavorable studies exist, however the use of shockwave is mostly employed in medical disciplines, such as cardiology, urology (erectile dysfunction), and wound applications. Most recently, shockwave is being discussed as a possible solution for patients with chronic heel pain, called plantar fasciitis.
