Thornton Wins NATA Election

from NATA

The NATA presidential election ended last Thursday and Clarion University's Jim Thornton, MS, ATC, PES, emerged as the victor. Thornton, an NATA member since 1983, has volunteered in many capacities for the association and most recently served as the District Two representative on the Board of Directors. He was also the Board's vice president from 2009-2011. Thornton will succeed current president Marje Albohm, MS, ATC, next June at the annual meeting in St. Louis. He will become the 12th elected NATA president. A total of 7,134 members voted, which represented 26 percent of the eligible voting membership. The voting turnout was up from the last election in 2007 by a margin of 3 percent. Thanks to everyone who took the time to cast a vote. more
