 Immigration law may cause foster care increase

Franklin County's Department of Human Resources officials say the new immigration law could possibly put a strain on their agency and foster care programs. Currently, Franklin Co. DHR has 25 licensed foster homes and more than 60 children in the foster care program. DHR officials believe the demand for foster families will continue to grow, especially if Hispanic children are left dependent. more
