from Smart Grid News
Smart grid initiatives have created more than 12,560 jobs in San Francisco's Bay Area and could produce even more. That's according to a report by Collaborative Economics, a consulting firm commissioned by the Silicon Valley Smart Grid Task Force. As the San Francisco Chronicle points out, the report suggests it's not just the obvious smart grid companies like Silver Spring Networks and Echelon that are producing the jobs, but also IT giants like Cisco and Oracle who have emerged as players in the smart grid space.
