Governor says South Dakota needs more workers in skilled trades
from The Associated Press via KCAU-TV
Gov. Dennis Daugaard says South Dakota needs to change the perception of skilled trades to help deal with a shortage of workers. Daugaard told those at a workforce summit in Mitchell, S.D., that students need to be encouraged to go into trades such as welding, plumbing and electrical. He says the perception of those careers as being somewhat less desirable needs to change.
