ACPA's Standing Committee For Multicultural Affairs (CMA) Has Issued The Annual Call For Proposals For The 2012 CMA Research Award

The fund provides up to $300 USD to support research/scholarly endeavors that help bring a sense of awareness to the issues and concerns of people of color in higher education. The deadline for applications is Monday, December 19, 2011. All ACPA members are eligible. Graduate students are especially encouraged to apply. Standing Committee membership is NOT required. Award recipients are also asked to submit an article on their research to our quarterly newsletter. Please submit proposals to Tracey Cameron at Proposals should include the items listed below. Please limit proposals to no more than seven (7) pages.

a) Contact Information (name of the researcher(s), institution, position/title, email, and telephone number)
b) Abstract (no more than 100 words)
c) Background and Significance of the Study (research problem including the proposed rationale, current state of knowledge and potential contributions and significance of the research to student affairs/higher education)
d) Research Design/Methodology (data collection and analysis)
e) Timeline
f) Budget Outline (how will funding be used) more
