How running a small business has changed
from American Express OPEN Forum
Jay Goltz has been in the small business game for more than three decades. Goltz originally launched a framing business in Chicago, which became the largest company of its kind. He spun off a few other ventures, including a home-design store and an online office-art business. Now, he dispenses small-business wisdom in The New York Times, speaks and writes books. OPEN Forum talked with Goltz about why there's a new kind of business climate and how companies should react to it.
