New vaccine protects pigs against E.coli

South Dakota State University is partnering with Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. to develop a new vaccine to protect pigs against a deadly form of E. coli. The research and resulting technology was developed by associate professor Weiping Zhang and professor David Francis in SDSU’s Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences Department, according to a news release.
