Silver: Higher minimum wage not a job-killer

New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver does not believe raising the state's minimum wage will hurt New York's chances of attracting new businesses and jobs. His proposed bill bumps the minimum wage to $8.50 per hour, a 17 percent increase over current rates, and calls for the minimum wage to be adjusted every year for inflation.
