Psoriasis gene, CARD14, tied to skin condition

Researchers say they have identified a gene linked to the most common form of psoriasis, a chronic skin condition. Rare mutations in the gene, called CARD14, when activated by an environmental trigger, can lead to plaque psoriasis, according to the researchers.
