RVDA monitors FTC updates to Internet advertising disclosure requirements
The Federal Trade Commission is in the process of modernizing its online disclosure requirements to keep pace with smartphones and other mobile devices. RVDA Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs Brett Richardson recently attended an FTC workshop, "Advertising and Privacy Disclosures in the Digital World," that solicited public input about updating the FTC's existing online advertising guidelines. RVDA and its allies will be monitoring the issue and working to ensure that new rules won't be onerous for motor vehicle dealers.
