Wal-Mart to offer look at consumers
from The Wall Street Journal
As Wal-Mart Inc. recently reported their second-quarter results, investors weren't just looking for how the retailer was doing, but also for signs of further recovery by the U.S. consumer. The economic bellwether at home and abroad, which is marking its 50th birthday this year, has already seen three straight quarters of growth in U.S. same-store sales, after showing declines for the prior nine. Analysts feel that another positive quarter is in the offing.
