Child Passenger Safety Week a reminder that safety seats are key to saving lives
from U.S. Department of Transportation FastLane
At the Department of Transportation, safety is their highest priority, especially when it comes to protecting America's children. And whether you're dropping children off at school or going on a family trip, a car seat is essential to keeping your child safe. Recently, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood joined National Highway Traffic Safety Administrator David Strickland and Safe Kids President and CEO Kate Carr at Garrison Elementary School in Washington, D.C., to kick-off Child Passenger Safety Week, an annual opportunity to remind parents and caregivers to make sure that they are properly using their child safety seats.
