Former OCR attorney, Sunil H. Mansukhani, joins NAPT Panel to discuss student conduct on the school bus

Join us for this provocative NAPT Summit workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m. featuring Sunil H. Mansukhani. A principal at the Raben Group, a Washington D.C.-based public affairs firm, he recently joined TRG from the Obama administration, where he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the United States Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.

As part of OCR's senior management team, Mansukhani led the development of OCR's policy initiatives and data collection efforts. While he was at ED, OCR issued guidance in areas such as the consideration of race in K-12 and college admissions, harassment and bullying, sexual violence, documentation requirements for enrollment in public schools, athletics and equal access for students with disabilities.

Mansukhani brings a wealth of experience in education law, litigation and policy and has been a keynote speaker or panelist at dozens of national and regional conferences and trainings.

Mansukhani received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his J.D. from Yale Law School, and a LL.M in Advocacy from Georgetown University Law Center.

The workshop, entitled "Borderline Behavior: A Candid Discussion About Student Conduct on the School Bus," will be moderated by Peggy Burns, Esq., and will also include law enforcement professionals who will discuss the distinction between student behavior management and law enforcement. more
