Chrysler recalls 920,000 Jeeps for unintended airbag deployments
from The Detroit News
Chrysler Group LLC recently said it is recalling 920,000 Jeep SUVs to fix a faulty electrical part after more than 100 reports of unintended airbag deployments. The Auburn Hills automaker said it is recalling 744,922 SUVs in the United States — including the 2002-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-03 Jeep Liberty. "A design change to a supplied component was linked to a small number of inadvertent air bag deployments, and in keeping with the best interests of our customers, we initiated a recall campaign," said David Dillon, Chrysler's head of product investigations and campaigns.
