Cleveland RTA unveils zero-emissions hydrogen-fueled bus
from The Cleveland Leader
A new, cleaner bus that emits only water and not harmful pollutants will soon be hitting the roads in Cleveland. The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority will unveil a 40-foot bus fueled by hydrogen that is on a free-of-charge loan for up to one year. RTA has teamed up with the NASA Glenn Research Center to bring the bus to Northeast Ohio, and will keep it refueled at a bus garage in East Cleveland. This setup is among just a few in the entire United States, and is supported in part by a federal program that tests the practicality of hydrogen-fueled buses.
