ACPA Think Tank On Civil Discourse
During Keith Humphrey's presidential address at the ACPA 2012 Louisville Convention, he announced the creation of a student affairs think tank to ensure that ACPA and student affairs lead the efforts to model civil discourse. Stephen Quaye (Miami University, Ohio) led a group to discern how faculty and student affairs educators can both model and improve civil discourse among themselves and college students. Participants in this group also included Aeriel A. Anderson (Dartmouth College, New Hampshire), Keri DeJong (University of Massachusetts Amherst), and Matthew R. Johnson (Central Michigan University). The meeting first took place in December 2012 in Oxford, Ohio.
