FEMA requests comments on proposed rule by April 30
FEMA's Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration published a rule for comment in the Federal Register. This proposed rule revises FEMA Mitigation Planning regulations in order to reduce the frequency of Standard State and Enhanced State Mitigation Plan updates by extending the update requirement from three to five years. The reasons for the proposed changes are explained in the rule. Comments on the proposed rule are due on April 30, 2013. Visit the
