Los Angeles State Historic Park to close for a year in 2014
from Los Angeles Downtown News
Things in 2014 could be a lot quieter at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. A yearlong closure is expected for the park still known to many as the Cornfield between January 2014 and January 2015 as part of an $18 million effort to renovate the 32-acre facility, said Sean Woods, a California State Parks superintendent. Funding for the project was included in this year's state budget and it will go before the state senate budget committee in mid-May for an expected final approval.
