Video surveillance to be installed in Hemet parks
from The Press-Enterprise
Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone has approved a $30,000 grant to install video surveillance cameras in Hemet city parks. Stone's fellow supervisors unanimously approved the grant to be paid for with money from the county's Community Improvement Designation Fund. A check was presented to the city in late March. "Our city parks are one of our most valuable resources. These cameras will help us preserve the parks for the families who use them," Public Works Director Kristen Jensen said in a news release issued by the supervisor's office.
