Tallest free-standing air traffic control tower in Canada opens in Calgary
from Calgary Herald
Approximately 270 feet above the ground, four men are keeping careful watch. They'll say hello, but they don't have time for long conversations. They need to keep their focus on the monitors in front of them and the 360-degree, panoramic windows that surround them. The men are air traffic controllers, on duty at NAV CANADA's new control tower at the Calgary International Airport in Alberta.
