Magazines double digital circulation, lose another 10 percent on newsstands

Magazines' downward trend at newsstands continued in the first half of this year, with single-copy sales falling roughly 10 percent from a year earlier, the Alliance for Audited Media said in its semiannual Snapshot report. And publishers' digital editions continued their steady march upward. For the first half of 2013, the number of digital replica editions roughly doubled to 10.2 million, compared with 5.4 million the previous year, the Alliance for Audited Media reported.
