STARS air ambulance service to get new chopper, bigger storage space
After entering Saskatchewan last fall, the STARS air ambulance service should have a new Saskatoon base. PotashCorp has contributed $27 million to a project that will allow the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society to not only construct a facility for its operations, but to add a helicopter there to its fleet. "We've been involved with STARS from the start, and really we are looking after the capital requirements for STARS in northern Saskatchewan," said Bill Johnson, senior director of public affairs at PotashCorp.
