How Miami-Dade will spend $11 million grant for STEM schools

Miami-Dade County Public Schools received a $10.7 million federal grant to create two high schools focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). The U.S. Department of Education's three-year grant will help launch Biotech @ Zoo Miami and iTech @ Edison. The former school will teach students conservation biology and ecosystem management in cooperation with staff at Zoo Miami and Fairchild Tropical Gardens.
