Fired Dallas police officer pleads guilty to lying

A former Dallas police officer, who falsely claimed a man struck him with his car, has received two years of probation. Eric Watts pleaded guilty and will be on deferred adjudication probation for two years for the misdemeanor charge of making a false report. He will not have a criminal conviction if he successfully completes probation.
