 New study says crime rates are higher when daylight savings time ends

A study by two researchers — Nicholas Sanders, an economics professor at the College of William and Mary, and Jennifer Doleac, a University of Virginia economics professor — concluded that daylight saving time across all time zones reduced robbery by 51 percent, murder by 43 percent and rape by 56 percent in a three-week period during the "extra" hour of evening daylight. more
