IGOT Surgical Burden Survey
We are passing along information regarding a study that is being conducted by the Institute for Global Orthopaedics & Traumatology (IGOT) at University of California, San Francisco. This research study being done by Dr. Richard Gosselin and will be used to estimate the
global burden of surgical conditions/diseases
The research team has created a survey similar to the one described in the Surgery chapter of Disease Control Priorities 2 text to estimate the global burden of disease, but using the updated disease states/conditions from the 2010 Global Burden of Disease study. You will be given a small number of demographic questions in addition to questions asking you to estimate the percentage of various diseases/conditions that need surgical intervention.
• The questionnaire will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete and data is stored anonymously.
