There's nothing like an effective demonstration to promote an innovative technology. The City of Brantford is the site of Ontario's first use of steam-enhanced extraction technology to treat contaminated soil. The 24 hectares of land now known as the Greenwich Mohawk site was once the home of the Cockshutt Plow Company and Massey Harris manufacturing facilities, which had both closed in the 1980s. Left behind: contaminated soils and groundwater.
