Class aims to refocus distracted drivers
from UT San Diego
Can a class on distracted driving make the road a safer place? That's what UC San Diego believes. Starting next month, the university will offer free one-hour classes to San Diego businesses educating them about the dangers of distracted driving. It's part of an education project called Just Drive Take Action Against Distraction. The initiative is sponsored by UC San Diego's Training, Research and Education for Driving Safety program, known as TREDS, and the California Highway Patrol.
