Bipartisan budget agreement would more than double security fee for some airline flights

The fees that airline customers pay for airport security will increase significantly if Congress passes the bipartisan budget deal that was announced. Of course, in practical terms, the increase is only going to mean a few extra dollars tacked onto each roundtrip airline ticket, but the changes would add up to an extra $730 million charged to passengers every year, according to the industry group Airlines for America.
