Colleges Without Mobile Apps Miss An Opportunity

Many colleges would benefit from a refresher course in Mass Media 101, based on their shortcomings to communicate effectively with tech-savvy young adults through mobile devices, including smart phones and hand-held tablets. According to an analysis of 200 public and private schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, more than 70 percent of those institutions lacked a mobile presence, and nearly half of those with a mobile presence were deficient in significant ways, such as technology, mobile content or both.
