Parents absorbed in smartphones scold kids more harshly in study
from CBS News
When parents or babysitters are glued to their smartphones in public places like restaurants, they may not be paying close attention to their kids. Now a new study reveals that the more absorbed the adults were in their devices, the more likely they were to respond harshly to a child's bad behavior. For the study, researchers from Boston University Medical Center camped out in Boston-area fast food places between July and August 2013.
