State Perinatal Quality Collaboratives are networks of perinatal care providers and public health professionals working to improve pregnancy outcomes for women and newborns by advancing evidence-based clinical practices and processes. In this collective impact effort, key partnerships are forming with U. S. Department of Health and Human Services-Region VII, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Kansas Healthcare Collaborative, University of Kansas, Wichita State University, Kansas hospitals, perinatal providers, and non-profits. The KPQC was formed in 2012 and has been working to identify and launch a quality improvement project. The KPQC selected exclusive breastfeeding.
