British museum houses world's largest collection of flying WWI aircraft
from Canada.com
Of the 55,000 planes that were manufactured by the Royal Army Corps during the First World War, only 20 or so remain in airworthy condition. Six of these belong to The Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, England. It is the most complete collection of original airworthy First World War aircraft in the world.
