|There is an affordable alternative to Obamacare for small businesses
Private Health Benefit Plans enable small businesses to offer their employees, and even subcontractors, access to reasonably priced plans that provide high quality and affordable medical care, dental care, prescription drugs, vision and chiropractic care.
These programs are not insurance or Medicare Prescription Drugs Plans, although they offer some of the same savings advantages through discounts for certain medical services and prescription drugs by providers who gave agreed to participate in these discount programs.
Mellody Hobson, financial correspondent for ABC News said it best on Good Morning America here. For a small business who wants to provide employees with health benefits, these plans might just be the perfect solution. They’re affordable. They’re comprehensive. They can save money for the insured.
Critics of the health law have predicted Obamacare rates would spike in 2015. With rates for nearly a dozen carriers to be released late this summer, the few companies who have announced their proposed hikes are coming in as high as 14 percent. There are options for the individual and small group who are seeking affordable healthcare. These optionss offer an alternative to the pricy Obamacare options and save their members hundreds of millions of dollars in healthcare benefits.
While these plans are not a substitute for a full-fledged health insurance program, they can be the perfect alternative to daily services that would not warrant a full-fledged and expensive health insurance policy, and probably wouldn’t even be covered under their larger deductibles. There are no deductibles in a Health Benefit Plan.
