Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service surpasses $5,000 fundraising goal
It has been another successful fundraising year for the Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service, who recently announced their efforts have raised more than $5,000 this year to help ensure widespread availability of Public Access Defibrillators in the community. Last month, members of the service were able to raise $2,100 through the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Becel Ride for Heart, a 75-kilometre bike ride on the Don Valley Parkway in Toronto, and other initiatives like Paramedics in the Park and grocery bagging at Food Basics.
