Reaction mixed to B.C.'s offer to give parents $40/day for children if school strike continues

The B.C. government's promise to give $40 a day to parents if the teachers strike drags on into the fall was met with mixed reaction. Finance Minister Mike de Jong said the subsidy will be offered to parents of public school students under 13 for as long as the labour dispute continues.
