Florida needs to prepare for impacts of sea level rise

Ever hear of “clear sky flooding?” It is happening regularly in the Miami area. Flooding is occurring on sunny days. What if the sea level rises, too? Suddenly Miami could be facing billions of dollars in flood control and mitigation costs. That’s not all. South Florida’s drinking water supplies are threatened by intrusion of salt water into the aquifer. Impacts could be felt in agriculture and tourism.
