from IAEM

FEMA received 325 sub-applications from 76 applicants for FY 2014 Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) grants, totaling $77 million, including 186 planning, 87 projects, and 52 management costs. The eligibility review is complete, and FEMA has made selections based on the agency's priorities. The agency’s FY 2014 priorities for PDM are: the statutory set-aside for states, territories and the District of Columbia up to $250,000; $5 million tribal set-aside up to $250,000 per tribe; mitigation planning; non-flood mitigation projects; and flood mitigation projects. FEMA selected 284 PDM sub-applications for further review from 74 applicants, including 179 planning and 53 projects and associated applicant management costs, for $63 million. FEMA will work with applicants to conduct programmatic reviews of the selected applications identified for further review before making a final decision. Further details are available here. more
