Classic romance stories tend to include a period of separation between the lovers. Retired airline pilot Chris Brown's tale is no different. "This is the Bonanza, the type I fell in love with 45 years ago. Two years ago, I bought my own," Brown said. Brown was referring to the light aircraft he had just landed at Regina International Airport. The 70-year-old is more than halfway through a solo flight from Montreal to Vancouver, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the first Canadian transcontinental flight.
