GM recalls another 500,000 vehicles
General Motors Co. recalled more than 500,000 mostly newer-model vehicles for safety flaws and halted sales of two important new pickups the automaker just unveiled in an attempt to win back the pickup sales crown from rival Ford Motor Co. The nation's largest automaker issued a stop-sales notice covering the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups that are newly arriving at U.S. dealer lots. Last month, sales of GM's large pickups jumped nearly 46 percent while Ford's F-series sales fell 1 percent.
