Consensus paper on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in England
from Resuscitation Council U.K.
The purpose of this paper is to bring some clarity to the analysis of data associated with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in England. This will help us to agree the scale of the problem, ensure that realistic targets for improvement can be set and the impact of interventions assessed. In England in 2013, the Emergency Medical Services attempted to resuscitate approximately 28,000 cases of OHCA.
