CL&P responds to claims it offered dishonest testimony in rate case
from Hartford Courant
The day after the state's top consumer advocate accused Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) of manipulating evidence and submitting dishonest testimony in its $221 million rate case, the company offered a lengthy defense of its actions, saying the claims against it were "categorically false and irresponsible." Also, Attorney General George Jepsen echoed the request to strike the whole testimony of the consultant at the center of the accusations. That testimony advocated for a $31.4 million chunk of the total rate increase.
