Physical therapy: Healing the heel pain of plantar fasciitis
from Ruidoso News
Plantar fasciitis, also known as "heel pain syndrome," is the most common cause of heel pain, resulting from a gradual degeneration of the plantar fascia or sudden trauma to the area. Physical therapists can teach exercises to stretch the fascia so it doesn't tear or recommend special socks or boots that can relieve pain and help prevent the problem. They can also fit patients with custom orthotics that play a role in prevention and healing.
