Battle of Quinte West includes young and old
from Inside Belleville
Some very old hockey players and some very, very young ones were included in the Battle of Quinte West at the Duncan McDonald arena recently. Celebrity hockey players, alumni all stars from the 1950s strolled out on the carpet at centre ice just before the game started, the third annual Battle of Quinte West between the RCAF Flyers and the Trenton Junior A Golden Hawks. Dropping the puck for the game was left winger Pete Conacher who was born in 1932 and played NHL between 1951 and 1958, then went on to the American Hockey League (AHL) until 1966.
